I seem to be traveling backwards in time - revisiting life experiences which occurred many decades ago. Probably that's typical as you get older. Many decades ago, I was introduced at university to looking at plant cells. I was stunned by the beauty and complexity these cells. I'd never thought before, for instance, about how perennial plants managed to grow both upwards and outwards at once. You could plainly see the cells involved in these processes. Some years back, I was able to afford a compound microscope for myself. I bought one with which I could take photographs of the amazing spectrum of plant cells - looking this time as an artist, rather than as an anatomist. Here are some of those images.
